With a coastline of about 3,500 miles, inland sources in Rajasthan and Little Rann of Kutch, and the rock salt mines in Mandi, India have possibilities of attaining a high position in salt production among the salt producing countries of the world. As is known, apart from being an indispensable item of food, salt is an important raw material for the manufacture of several heavy chemicals e.g. soda ash, caustic soda and chlorine. Besides, salt is used in food processing industries, such as fish curing, meat packing, dairy products and fruit and vegetable canning.

CSIR – CSMCRI would like to engage young and dynamic personnel to work in a project entitled “Development of low-cost portable device for measurement of homocysteine, cysteine, and histidine in human blood plasma” sponsored by DST.
Qualification :
For JRF: M.Sc Chemistry with NET qualification.
For Project Assistant II: M.Sc Chemistry with minimum 55% marks;
Fellowship : Rs. 25000/- + HRA [for JRF] / Rs. 25000/- (Consolidated) [for PA-II]
Job description : The selected candidate will be involved in the works related to sensing and evaluation of amino acids with probes, design/testing/validation of protocols, device performance evaluation under controlled and field test conditions.
Age limit : 28 years for JRF and 30 years for Project Assistant-II as on date of interview (age relaxation as per CSIR rule). Duration : Till June, 2020
The selected candidates holding post-graduate qualification have a bright opportunity for pursuing PhD degree.
