Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) has been established under THE JAMMU AND KASHMIR SHRI MATA VAISHNO DEVI UNIVERSITY ACT, 1999.an Act of the J&K State Legislature (ACT No. XII of 1999 dated 12th May 1999) as an autonomous, highly Technical & fully Residential University. The University started functioning as an academic unit in Aug 2004 when it was inaugurated on 19th August 2004 at the hands of the then Hon'ble President of India Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. Dr. Kalam also delivered the first lecture to the students of the University.
A Walk-in-Interview will be conducted in the School of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra on 3rd July, 2018 at 2.00 PM to select one position of “Studentship” in Bioinformatics.
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. First class in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/Life Sciences.
Desirable: Some exposure in Bioinformatics.
Emoluments: @ Rs. 10,000/-PM.
The Position will be available initially for period of six months extendable to further six months. Interested candidates having the under-mentioned qualifications may attend the Walk-In-Interview in the Office of Head, School of Biotechnology, SMVDU, Katra on 3rd July, 2018 at 2.00 PM along with relevant papers. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the Walk-In-Interview. No interim enquiries would be entertained.
Eligible candidates may appear for the Walk-In-Interview with detailed CV, qualification certificate along with originals for verification purposes and two self-attested passport size photographs.
