Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), an autonomous organization under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India invites applications for filling up of the post of Additional Director General / Scientist 'H' In Level 15 of Pay Matrix (Rs, 1,82,200 - 2,24,100) at ICMR Headquarter, New Delhi on direct recruitment basis.

Eligibility Condition:
Essential qualifications:
(i) MBBS/ BDS/ M.V.Sc degree in the required discipline recognized by MCI/ DCI/VCI (espectively or BE/ B.Tech degree in required engineering subject with 2 years experience or equivalent degree from a recognized University
1st class Master’s degree in required subject or equivalent degree from a recognized University
(ii) Fifteen years R&D experience in the relevant areas in a recognized institution after obtaining essential qualification (i) out of which at least 7 years in a managerial position to handle R&D projects independently in a team in a directing position
Desirable Qualifications:
(i) Doctorate Degree in related science subject or MD in the related subject for candidates with first class relevant degree from a recognized university
(ii) Additional Post-doctoral research/ teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s)
(ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications
Note:
(i) Ph.D or MD degree in subjects relevant to Indian Council of Medical research shall be treated equivalent to three years experience respectively.
(ii) Candidates with MD or Ph D degree will be preferred for direct recruitment
Age limit: Not exceeding 55 years.
(Note 1. Relax able up to 5 years for Government servants in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time in this regard.
Note 2. The age limit may be relaxed in exceptional cases for experienced and qualified candidates.)
Job requirement: This is a research management post. The incumbent is required to assist the Director General, ICMR and liaise with Government agencies and provide high level leadership in the formulation of research programmes and in organizing/ coordinating bio-medical research activities/projects.

The selected candidates will be appointed on direct recruitment basis. Pay & Allowances shall be fixed as per DoPT guidelines. Non Practicing allowance (for medical graduate only) will be admissible as per Rules. Pension will be admissible as per new restructured defined contribution Pension system, contained in the Ministry of Finance, D/o Economic Affairs (ECD & PR Division), Notification No. 5/7/2003 & PR dated 22.12.2003 effective from 1.1.2004
How to apply:

Ramalingaswami Bhawan, Ansari Nagar, Post Box. No. 4911, New Delhi - 110029, so as to reach on or before 11th July, 2018.
(ii) Applications from employees working in Central/State Govt. Departments/ Public Sector Undertakings and Govt, funded research agencies must be forwarded through proper channel. Advance copies of application will also be considered subject to the conditions that a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer is produced at the time of personal discussion.
Important Note:
(i) Applications to be received will be screened by a Screening Committee for eligibility. The shortlisted eligible candidate(s) will be called for Personal Discussion/ interview for selection.
(ii) Outstation candidates, who will be called for personal discussion/ interview, shall be paid restricted to 2nd class AC rail fare or actual by shortest route, whichever is less, subject to production of ticket.
(iii) Applicants should indicate legibly “The post applied for Additional Director General/ Scientist H” on the envelope.
