RGCB is to translate research into products and solutions to improve human health through innovation that transforms science and data into actionable medical benefits. RGCB is looking for a dynamic, result-oriented and dedicated Program Leader to provide daily supervision, mentorship and direction to RGCB’s translational biotechnology goals including leading the newly sanctioned DST funded National Facility For Drug Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics (NFDDDT) as well as the Biotechnology Technology & Business Development Incubator (BioNest) jointly managed by RGCB and the Kerala Start up mission. The position has both managerial and technical leadership responsibilities.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a DST-SERB funded research project on the biology and therapeutical approaches in colorectal cancer in the laboratory of Dr. K B Harikumar at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
• First class M.Sc./M.Tech/MVSc/M.Pharm in any branch of Life Science.
• Documented experience in mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry and animal studies.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Qualification in National Eligibility Test: CSIR-UGC/ICMR/DBT JRF or NET (LS)/ GATE etc.

AGE : Below 32 years as on 6th July, 2018.

EMOLUMENT : Rs. 25,000 + 20% HRA per month for M.Sc. Degree holders who have qualified at NET/GATE (with valid certificate) or Post Graduates in Professional Degree course qualified candidates. M.Sc. degree holders who do not have NET/GATE certification will be eligible for Rs. 12,000/- + 20% HRA per month.

DURATION : The project will be active for 3 years but the initial appointment will be given for 1 year and further extension will be based on the performance evaluation.

SELECTION PROCESS

Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
