The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER, Kolkata) has been created as a centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences. The Institute offers in M.S.(Pharm.) in Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products and Pharmacoinformatics. The Institute admits students for the M.S(Pharm.) through a common entrance test conducted by NIPER, Mohali. In future the number of M.S. programs would be increased and Ph.D programs would also be started in various disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences every year.
Applications are invited from interested individuals for the post of Project Assistant (Senior & Junior) in the NIPER-Kolkata for DBT funded research project entitled “exploitation of paired nickases to enhance targeted knock-in, a modification of CRISPR Cas system” in the NIPER-Kolkata.
Senior Project Assistant - 01 post
PI/ Department : NIPER- Kolkata
Educational Qualification :
Essential : M.Sc. in Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology / M.S.(Pharm) / M.Pharm. / M.Tech. in Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks in qualifying examination.
Desirable: Hands on experience in cell culture, recombinant DNA techniques, microbiology, protein expression and protein chemistry as evident from the publication in the Peer Reviewed Journals.
Junior Project Assistant - 01 post
PI/ Department : NIPER- Kolkata
Educational Qualification :
Essential : M.Sc. in any field of Life Sciences with minimum 60% marks in qualifying examination.
Desirable: Preferably with some research and lab experience.
Salary/Remuneration may be decided as recommended by the Committee on the basis of expertise. Number of vacancies in each category may be increase or may also be withdraw as per availability of experience/expertise and needs.
The above position is purely temporary initially for six months extendable for a period of one year based on the needs and satisfaction of the PI.
