Established in the year 1998, by Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Act 13, 1998. Over a sprawling Campus of about 247 acres, the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya is marching towards development into a center of excellence in the arena of Technical Education, Research and Innovations. Under its umbrella there are 05 UTD's , 200 affiliated Engineering Colleges, 98 Pharmacy Colleges, 95 MCA Colleges and 04 Architecture Colleges imparting Graduate level instructions running around 17 under graduate level courses, 85 Polytechnic institutions offering diploma courses in emerging and conventional disciplines. Situated amidst an aesthetic and hilly surrounding, the University is now offering Ph.Ds and 11 post.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates as per AICTE qualifications (UGC qualifications for Science & Humanities departments) and University norms for Assistant Professor/Lecturer (on contract basis) in various departments of UIT-Bhopal/UIT-Shahdol/ UIT-Jhabua /UTD’s Bhopal & University Polytechnic Bhopal.
No of Posts : There are approximately 177 vacancies distributed amongst various departments of UIT-Bhopal/UIT-Shahdol/UIT-Jhabua/UTD’s Bhopal & University Polytechnic Bhopal. The university reserves the right to increase or decrease these vacancy positions and to appoint against only those vacancies which it deems fit depending upon the actual teaching load.
Qualification
For Pharmacy Department
Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Pharmacy with first class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Masters Degree
For Science
i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions. iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
Reservation of Seats
The reservations shall be applicable as per the norms of State Government of Madhya Pradesh.
Salary
Selected candidates fulfilling qualifications for the post of Assistant Professor/Lecture as per AICTE (UGC for Science & Humanities) and university norms shall be paid a consolidated salary of Rs.40,000/- and Rs.37,500/- for PhD and Non PhD holders (in relevant branches), respectively.
Duration of contract
Maximum duration of contract will be 02 years. The work of the faculty appointed on contract basis shall be reviewed after every six month, and if work is not found satisfactory the contract shall be terminated. The contract shall also be terminated if permanent faculty is appointed against the positions on which faculty on contract basis is working or after issuing one months notice from either side.

Selection Criteria
The head wise distribution of marks for evaluation for appointment of Assistant Professor/Lecturer (on contract basis) out of 100 will be as under:
I. Maximum 60 marks to be allotted on the basis of online written test which will be conducted by the University.
II. Maximum 10 marks to be allotted on the basis of marks obtained in GATE (NET for Science & Humanities departments). (Score in GATE out of 100 x 0.1)
III. Maximum 10 marks for PhD if awarded, 05 marks if PhD thesis submitted.
IV. Maximum 05 marks for teaching experience (@ 1 marks per year).
V. Maximum 15 marks for interview. In the interview, apart from other traits, aptitude for teaching shall also be judged. If aptitude for teaching is not found in a candidate he/she shall be rendered nonqualified for the post. If the number of candidates appearing for the written test is large, then university may limit the number for the interview up to maximum of 5 candidates against each vacancy position based on their overall merit after assigning due weightage of each selection criterion. The date, time and venue of the interview shall be intimated in due course through the website websites rgpv.ac.in and uitrgpv.ac.in.
Syllabus for Test
The Syllabus for this test will be the syllabus of GATE/GPAT/NET (for Science & Humanities departments) of the respective branches.
How to Apply & Application Fee
On line applications will be available on the websites rgpv.ac.in, uitrgpv.ac.in and mponline.gov.in from 11.06.2018. The fee for above test will be Rs.375/- for SC & ST category candidates, of the state of Madhya Pradesh having MP domicile, and Rs.750/- for all other candidates. Candidates are advised to regularly visit these sites for updates.
Modification to rules/procedures
The University reserves the rights to amend any provision / procedure for selection listed above to ensure fair and transparent selection procedure, without assigning any reason for it. Any modification so made shall be binding to all the concerned.
Interpretation
The RGPV shall be the final authority for deciding any matter in respect of policy regarding selection of candidates for admission. If any dispute arises regarding to the interpretation of these rules, the decision of the RGPV shall be final and binding. Procedure/Norms which have not been mentioned separately shall be governed by university/state government of Madhya Pradesh norms.
Venue & Date of Test
The online test will be conducted at Bhopal as per following detail:
1. On 28.06.2018 for all the departments other than Mathematics.
2. On 29.06.2018 for Mathematics department.
