North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine (NEIFM), an Autonomous Institute, under the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, hereby invites applications from Indian Citizens for the following posts to be filled by Deputation/ Direct Recruitment/Short Term Contract as mentioned against each post. Eligible candidates may submit their applications in the prescribed format alongwith self attested copies of certificates and testimonials, two copies of recent passport size photograph and required fee. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the test/interview as the Institute deems fit.
Pharmocognosist
Pay Scale : PB-3 - Rs. 15600-39100 + GP 6600 (Group-A) (Pay Matrix Level-11 in RP)
Age limit : 35 years (Relaxable to SC/ST/ OBC & others as applicable under rules in force. 55 years for deputation
Required qualification and Experience : Direct Recruitment: Essential: 1. Post-Graduate degree in Botany/Pharmacology/M.Pharma (Pharmacognosy) from a recognised university. 2. 5 years Research experience and or academic experience in Pharmacognosy/ drug standardization. 3. With minimum 2 publications in peer viewed index journals. Desirable: Ph.D in Pharmacognosy/ Pharmacology. For Deputation: Officers of Central/State Govt. Statutory organizations/ Autonomous bodies/PSUs, University or Research institutions holding analogous posts on regular basis having essential educational qualification prescribed for direct recruitment. OR Persons with qualification prescribed for direct recruitment and 3 years regular service in the scale of PB-3 (Rs. 15600-39100 +GP 5400) OR persons with qualification prescribed for direct recruitment and 8 years regular service in the Scale of PB-2 (Rs. 9300-34800+ 4800).

Pharmacy Assistant
Pay Scale : PB-1 - Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 1900 (Group-C) (Pay Matrix Level- 2 in RP)
Age limit : 30 years (Relaxable to SC/ST/ OBC & others as applicable under rules in force. 55 years for deputation
Required qualification and Experience : Direct Recruitment: Essential: i) 10+2 from a recognised board with Science & English. ii) Diploma in Ayurvedic Pharmacy (not less than two years duration) OR Diploma in Herbal Medicine/ Technology (not less than 3 years duration). For Deputation: Officers of Central/State Govt. Statutory organisations/Autonomous bodies/ PSUs, University or Research institutions holding analogous posts on regular basis having essential educational qualification prescribed for direct recruitment.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS
Applicants are advised to read all instructions carefully before submitting their applications.
1. Reservation:
a. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC (non- creamy layer) & others will be as mentioned against each post.
b. Applications not supported by the appropriate certificate for the reservation category claimed, will be treated as General/Unreserved. In case Institute observes anything false or any discrepancy in the certificate submitted by any candidate, his candidature will be rejected, summarily. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
c. SC/ST/OBC/others candidates are required to produce original certificate in the prescribed copy of format signed by the specified authority, at the time of interview. It is mandatory.
d. Applications need to be supported by proper experience certificate authenticated by competent authority as per provision of UPSC/State PSC/ UGC etc.
Application Fee: A fee of the amount mentioned as under should be remitted by the candidates belonging to General and OBC category to the institute in the form of Demand Draft or Postal Order issued in favour of Director, North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine, payable at Pasighat, which is not refundable. SC and ST candidates are exempted from paying this fee. Applicants for Deputation also need not pay this fee. a) Group A posts carrying Pay Band 3 with GP up to Rs. 6600/- - Fee Rs. 300/- b) Group B posts carrying Pay band 2 & 3 with GP upto Rs. 5400/- - Fee Rs. 200/- c) All other posts in Group C with GP up to Rs 2800/- - Fee Rs. 100/-
