Job Description
Retail pharmacists are responsible for dispensing and controlling medicine; this includes both prescription and non-prescriptions. They also advise customers on general healthcare. Retail pharmacists must work to legal and ethical guidelines.
Employment as a retail pharmacist involves:
* Responsible for dispensing and controlling medicine; this includes both prescription and non-prescriptions.
* providing advice about health issues, symptoms and medications in response to customer enquiries
* processing prescriptions and dispensing medication
* Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
