North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine (NEIFM), an autonomous Institute under Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, hereby invites applications from Indian Citizens for the following posts to be filled up on Contract basis for 1(one) year as mentioned below. Eligible candidates may submit their applications in the prescribed format alongwith self attested copies of certificates and testimonials, two copies of recent passport size photograph. Only candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria, will be called for the test/interview as the Institute deems fit.
Junior Research Fellow (Non- Medica) - 03 posts
Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- (Fixed) + HRA@10%
Age Limit : 28 years (Relaxable to SC/ST/ OBC & others as applicable under rules in force.
Required qualification and Experience :
Qualification: 1st class Master Degreee in Natural Sciences such as Botany/ Zoology/ Ethnobotany/ Anthropology/ or 1st Class Master Degree in pharmacy(M.Pharma).
Desirable: i) Experience in establishment &/or maintenance of Herbarium and Raw Drug Repository of medicinal Plants, botanical & Zoological, demographic, anthropological, Survey & Documentation of Local Health Traditions. ii) Basic knowledge in medicinal plants of local area. iii) Ph.D in Natural sciences as mentioned above. Having computer skill and knowledge.

Junior Research Fellow (Informatics) - 01 post
Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- (Fixed) + HRA@10%
Age Limit : 28 years (Relaxable to SC/ST/ OBC & others as applicable under rules in force.
Required qualification and Experience :
Qualification:i) M.C.A or M.S. or equivalent in Computer Science with experience in design & development of websites and databases. ii) Experience in relevant field &/or Designing & maintenance of website & having knowledge in working with HTML, MYSQL, RDMBS, MS ACCESS, PHP etc. Desirable : Ph.D in respective Discipline. Experience in design & development of databases on medicinal plants & Local Health Traditions.
