The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER) S. A.S. Nagar (Mohali) is an autonomous Institute of National Importance set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers by an Act of Parliament, to impart higher education and undertake advanced research in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Technology and Management. TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR GRADE- I/SCIENTIST GRADE- I
BIOSTATICS - 1 Post
Educational Qualification & Experience : M.Sc. with 55% marks and six (06) years’ research / teaching experience. OR M.Pharm. with four (04) years’ research / teaching experience
Note: Qualification and experience required for the said post should be in the relevant Field / Area / Department / Centre / Facility for which the post has been advertised. Desirable: Ph.D. in relevant field with two (02) years’ post -qualification experience.
Job Profile: Bio -statistical methods, statistical methodology and modeling for public health and medicine, statistical genetics, statistical methods and modeling for various diseases.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS- 1 Post
Pay structure: Pay Band -3 (Rs.15600 -39100/ -) plus Grade Pay of Rs.5400/ - and other allowances at par with Central Government pay and allowances.
Educational Qualification & Experience : M.Sc. with 55% marks and six (06)years’ research / teaching experience. OR M. Pharm. with four (04)years’ research /teaching experience.

CLINICAL RESEARCH - 1 Post

RESEARCH PLANNING / PROJECT MANAGEMENT - 2 Posts

TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT CENTRE - 2 Posts
Pay structure: Pay Band -3 (Rs.15600 -39100/ -) plus Grade Pay of Rs.5400/ - and other allowances at par with Central Government pay and allowances.
Educational Qualification & Experience : M.Sc. with 55% marks and six (06) years’ research / teaching experience. OR M. Pharm. with four (04) years’ research/teaching experience.

Desirable Experience:
(1) For Post A : Five (05) to eight (08) years experience in managing a pilot plant for bulk drugs and transferring technology from pilot plant to production.

NATIONAL TOXICOLOGY CENTRE - 1 Post
Pay structure: Pay Band -3 (Rs.15600 -39100/ -) plus Grade Pay of Rs.5400/ - and other allowances at par with Central Government pay and allowances.

OR M. Pharm./M.Tech with four(04)years experience in handling/operation of spectroscopic/analytical instruments. Note: Qualification and experience required for the said post should be in the relevant Field / Area / Department / Centre / Facility for which the post has been advertised. Desirable: Persons having minimum six years of experience in the operation/maint enance/troubleshooting and analysis of samples on the latest models of NMR and/or Mass spectrometers.

TRANSITION ELECTRON MICROSCOPE - 1 Post

Bachelors degree in computer s ciences with three (03) years experience in data management and website management. OR Mas ters degree in Computer Science.

Desirable: (i) Experience in software development. (ii) Experience in one or more of the following: SQL / mySQL, ASP.NET, Visual Studio platforms /languages, perl / php and open source techno logi es and with exposure to all phases of software development lifecycle/Microsoft/MCP/MCAD/MCTS/MCSA, Cisco CDNA, CISSP and /or any other equivalent certification. (iii) Experience in installation and maintenance of servers, desktops, security devices and other network components.

GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Candidates of only Indian nationality can apply for these posts.

5. The posts advertised shall accrue all benefits of permanency at par with Central Government Employees. In addition to usual pay and allowances as admissible vide 6th pay commission, other benefits such as Leave Travel Concession, Medical Expenses, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, Telephone Expenses etc are also available as per NIPER Acts & Statutes.
6. The applicants serving in Government / Semi - Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous organizations must send their application (in the prescribed format) alongwith relevant documents ‘Through proper channel’. Such candidates are required to sen d advance copies of their applications but their candidature shall only be considered in case their applications are received through proper channel within 15 days of closing date of receipt of applications.

In case of applicants serving in Government / Semi -Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous organizations, while forwarding the applications, certificate to the effect that the Officer is clear from vigilance angle and there is no disciplinary case pending or contemplated against him/her is required to be furnished.
8. The vital information like designation, organization, previous employment profile, scale and band of pay and grade pay, type of pay scale like Central Government (CDA) or Industrial (IDA) and equivalent CDA in case of later, nature of duties etc. must be given in full, failing which the application may be summarily rejected without any further follow up, whatsoever.
9. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview. 15. Under direct recruitment, in case application is received without / less prescribed fee or demand draft is found not in favour of Director, NIPER or not payable at Mohali/Chandigarh , the application shall be rejected and no further correspondence in this regard shall be made / entertained.

19. Candidates on direct selection shall be governed by New Pension Scheme of Central Government made effective from 01 -01- 2004.
