Area I: Microbiology
Research Associate
Qualification: Ph.D in Microbiology/Botany/Chemistry
Senior Project Fellow/ Project Assistant Level III
Qualification: For S.P.F.: 1st class M.Sc in Chemistry/Biochemistry /Microbiology and should have completed at least 2 years post M.Sc. research experience and one publication in SCI Journal. For PA Level III: 1st class M.Sc in any one of the above subjects and should have completed at least 2 years post M.Sc. research experience.
JRF (Project)/Project Fellow/Project Assistant Level II
Qualification: For J.R.F.(P)/PF.: M.Sc in Chemistry/Biochemistry /Microbiology with CSIR UGC-NET-JRF/LS qualification.
For P.A. Level II: 1st class M.Sc. in any one of the above subjects.
Area II: Molecular Biology & Biotechnology
Senior Project Fellow/ Project Assistant Level III
Qualification: For S.P.F.: 1st class M.Sc in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Botany/ Bioinformatics and should have completed at least 2 years post M.Sc research experience and one publication in SCI Journal.
For PA Level III: 1st class M.Sc in any one of the above subjects and should have completed at least 2 years post M.Sc. research experience.
JRF (Project)/Project Fellow/ Project Assistant Level II
Qualification: For J.R.F.(P)/PF.: M.Sc in Biotechnology/Plant Science/ Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/Molecular Biology/ Botany/Life Science OR B.Tech in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/Biochemistry with CSIR UGC-NET-JRF/LS qualification.
For P.A. Level II: 1st class M.Sc in any one of the above subjects OR 1st class B.Tech in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/Biochemistry.
Area III: Biodiversity & Bioprospection
Senior Project Fellow/Project Assistant Level III
Qualification: For S.P.F.: 1st class M.Sc in Plant Science/ Botany /Plant Physiology/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Environmental Science /Life Science and should have completed at least 2 years post M.Sc research experience OR 1st class M.Pharm and should have at least one year research experience and one publication in SCI Journal. For PA Level III: 1st class M.Sc in any one of the above subjects and should have completed at least 2 years post M.Sc. research experience OR 1st class M.Pharm.
JRF (Project)/Project Fellow/Project Assistant Level II
Qualification: For J.R.F.(P)/PF: M.Sc in Botany/Plant Science/Environmental Science /Environmental Microbiology/ Bio Science/Life Science/ Biotechnology/Chemistry/Bio Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Plant Physiology OR B.Pharm with CSIR UGC-NET-JRF/LS qualification. Area IV: Ecology & Environmental Science
JRF (Project)/Project Fellow/Project Assistant Level II
Qualification: For J.R.F.(P)/PF.: M.Sc in Plant Science/ Biochemistry/ Environmental Science/ Microbiology/ Applied Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry with CSIR UGCNET- JRF/LS qualification.
For P.A. Level II: 1st class M.Sc in any one of the above subjects.
Age limit: upper age limit not exceeding 35 years for R.A, 32 years for SPF/P.A level III and 28 years for JRF/PF/PA level II as on the date of interview. Age relaxation as per Government of India/CSIR instructions.
Stipend:
For RA: Rs 22,000/- p.m.
For Sr. Project Fellow: Rs 18,000/- p.m.
For JRF (Project)/Project Fellow: Rs.16000/-p.m./ Rs.12000/-p.m.
For Project Assistant Level III: Rs.14,000/-p.m.
For Project Assistant Level II: Rs.12000/-p.m. /Rs.10000/-p.m /Rs.8000/-p.m.
(Stipend as per sanction in the project).
Date & Venue of Interview: For Area I: on 16-06-2014. For Area II: on 17-06-2014, For Area III: on 18-06-2014 & For Area IV: on 19-06-2014 at 11.00 A.M. in the conference Room, T.N. Khoshoo Block, NBRI, Lucknow.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
a) HRA will be admissible as per sanction of the projects.
b) The Application form will be provided at the venue on the date. However, candidates may download the application form in advance from the website www.nbri.res.in. At the time of interview candidates should bring one latest photograph, original certificates, along with one set of attested photocopies, of all certificates of examinations passed (starting from matriculation), certificate indicating date of birth, caste certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC) and experience certificate, etc. Tentative mark sheets/certificates and 'result awaited' will not be considered. All eligible candidates are requested to be present at the venue on the said date One hour before the scheduled time for necessary formalities.
c) Mode of Selection: Through Interview. However, if large number of candidates turn up, a Screening test comprising of multiple choice objective questions will be held for short listing the candidates for interview. The short listed candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee and, based on the performance in the interview, a panel of recommended candidates will be formed. The panel shall be utilized as and when the requirement arises in the projects in the relevant field/area. Candidates have the option to interact in Hindi/English before the committee. In case of turning up of large no. of candidates, interview may continue for next day.
d) The positions are purely temporary on contract basis and co- terminus with the sponsored projects. Further the above stipend(s) is tentative and the same will be finally decided based on the availability of funds in the relevant sponsored projects.
e) To avoid any inconvenience, only those candidates who strictly fulfill the eligibility criteria and possess the degree/mark sheet in the aforesaid subjects should turn up for floating interview
No TA/DA will be admissible.
