Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research is an autonomous institution that was established in 1989 by the Department of Science and Technology, GoI to commemorate the birth centenary year of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Bharat Ratna Prof. C. N. R. Rao, FRS, was the founding President. The Centre was registered as a society with Dr. Raja Ramanna (eminent physicist and Former Chairman, DAE) as its first Chairman.

Applications are invited for temporary position of R&D Assistant / Research Associate (provisional) / Research Associate / Research Associate III to work under the guidance of Prof./ Dr. Diwakar S. Venkatesan, Engineering Mechanics Unit, JNCASR, Jakkur, Bengaluru, 560064.

R&D Assistant
Essential Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course
Remuneration : Rs.19,000/- (Without NET/GATE etc), Rs.25,000/- (With NET/GATE etc) and Rs.28,000/- (M.E/M. Tech etc) plus 24% HRA
Max. Age limit : 28 years
Research Associate (provisional)
Remuneration : Rs.39,000/- plus 24% HRA
Essential Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course. Must have submitted thesis, for award of Ph.D degree.
Max. Age limit : 32 years

Research Associate
Remuneration : Rs.47,000/-, Rs.49,000/- and Rs.54,000/- plus 24% HRA. Remuneration will be fixed based on experience
Essential Qualification : Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree OR three years of research, teaching, design and development after MVSc/M.Pharm/M.E/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal.
Desirable Qualification : PhD in Mechanical Engineering with more than 6 years of research experience in both CFD and Experiments related to thermo- fluids.
Max. Age limit : 45 years
