Job for M.Pharm, MSc in IMR / EMR research project at Central Ayurveda Research Institute

National Research Institute of Ayurvedic Drug Development (NRIADD) formerly known as Central Research Institute of Ayurveda which was earlier established as Regional Research Institute (Ay.) on 1971 at Jagannath Dutta Lane, Kolkata and then the Institute was shifted to Bidhannagar, Kolkata on 1997 in its own building. Govt. of West Bengal had provided 3 acres land in the most posh area of Kolkata (SEZ) for the present campus. National Research Institute of Ayurvedic Drug Development is presently functioning with six departments, namely Hospital (OPD & IPD), Pathology & Biochemistry, Pharmacognosy, Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmacy.

Walk-in-interview for the eligible candidates will be held on purely temporary basis in IMR / EMR research project at Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), 4 CN Block, Bidhannagar, Sec. V, Kolkata-700091. The required qualifications and other details are as under:-

Desirable : The preference will be given to candidate with two years hands experience on animal experimentation.

Essential : BAMS/BHMS/BSMS and min 5 yrs experience in research (or) Post-graduate Degree in Pharmacognosy /M. Pharm (Ay) / MS Natural Products/ M.Sc. in Botany/Medicinal plants / Bio Technology/Life Sci. from a recognized University/ Institution with minimum of 5 years research experience
Desirable : a. Sound knowledge to develop an exhaustive, re-usable database of Ayush Drugs/Ingredients by dynamically consolidating information from “legacy sources” and inter-linkages with standard “online databases” from India and other international agencies
b. Skills of drafting, editing of scientific documents/ articles /technical reports etc.,
c. Publications in peer reviewed journals.

Interested candidates fulfilling the essential qualifications and age limit may apply in the prescribed proforma along with self attested copy of certificate in support of age and essential qualification, experience certificate and two passport size recent photographs. The candidates are required to appear for written test followed by interview at the Seminar hall of CARI, Kolkata as per scheduled date and time. The Candidates will be required to carry their original testimonials for verification. The interested candidates must reach the venue at 10.00 am on the stipulated date and beyond that, no candidate will be allowed for interview.

Notes
1. The engagement will be purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project and no claim for regular/permanent appointment will be entertained.
2. The engagement will be initially for a period of six months, which may be extended up to the tenure of the project subject to satisfactory performance.
3. The eligibility of candidates in respect of age will be determined as on 01.01.2024 & relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt, of India rules.
4. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
