National Chemical Laboratory Pune, established in 1950, is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Post : Senior Project Associate (02 posts)

Applications are invited online for filling up of position on a purely temporary basis, in the prescribed proforma. The details of the Sponsored Project under which engagement is proposed to be made is as under.

Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications : Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and
(ii) Four (4) years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services; OR ME / M.Tech in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with TWO years’ experience in R&D in industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organizations and Scientific activities and services; OR Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma / MD / MS from a recognized University or equivalent
Desirable experience, if any : Ph.D. completed in Organic chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / chemical engineering/ chemical technology/ Polymer Engineering/Oleochemical and Surfactants Technology. Publications/patent records for the same are to be provided with the application/biodata /CV for active consideration. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in the synthesis and characterization of polymers, emulsions and formulations. Those who have Ph.D. in Biotechnology and other not relevant areas to the project may not apply as they will not be considered.
Age Limit : 40
Job requirement : Polymer synthesis, designing polymeric materials, and characterization of synthesized polymers/ developing formulations/ emulsion polymerization.
Consolidated emoluments per month : (i) 42,000/- + HRA
The engagement will be initially for a period of twelve months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the tenure of sponsored project / satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be. The engagement will be purely on temporary basis and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise and shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any CSIR- NCL post/fellowship.

No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer of engagement.
