New Product Portfolio Planning & Management – Commercial
Function : Portfolio Management 
Reporting to : VP – Special Projects & CEO’s Office 
Job Summary : The candidate will be responsible for creating and managing a comprehensive New Product Portfolio and ensuring timely execution for the India Business of Mankind. Collaborates closely with teams in Business/Marketing, Business Development, R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory, IP, Market Research, SFE, CEO Office, Commercial, Medical, Clinical Research, CQC, PMO, New Product Launch, Network Strategy, and Packaging development.
The Job Would Essentially Involve
• Ongoing assessment, improvement, and expansion of the product portfolio; facilitating communication between various cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition from concept to launch.
• Leading the New Product Identification Process: Assessing and choosing products for both immediate and long-term launches. 
• Conducting Therapy Gap Analysis and suggesting new products. 
• Overseeing various Project Management Activities. 
• Preparing Business Case future-looking for Indian/Global Companies/Products/SubTherapies  
• Examining competitive intelligence data to discover innovative products and strategies across the development and marketing spectrum.  
• Using competitive intelligence tools to find in-market opportunities for commercial products and to reduce risks for in-line products. 
• Reviewing business cases, making revisions, and projecting revenues for pipeline and in-line products. Preparing budgets for the upcoming financial year and consolidating a 5-year revenue plan for both in-line and pipeline products. 

Areas Of Responsibility 
New Product Ideation & Feasibility Analysis 
•  Developing and standardizing processes for product selection. 
•  Identifying new product opportunities that align with the overall business strategy and input from various internal teams. 
•  Confirming market potential in partnership with Marketing Teams through primary/secondary market sources and benchmarks/analogues. 
•  Drafting proposals for new products and initiating discussions with relevant teams. 
•  Working with cross-functional teams in R&D, Medical Affairs, IP, Business, New Product Introductions, Regulatory, etc., to gather relevant data for development feasibility assessments. 
•  Supporting the final product selection process. 
Product Selection & Prioritization 
•  Leading Product Selection meetings/discussions. 
•  Prioritizing selected products based on predetermined criteria and communicating with in-house and sourcing teams. 
•  Finalizing the product launch schedule. 
Product Launches & Due Diligence 
•  Ensuring alignment between R&D, Sourcing, Marketing, contract manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to meet new product launch timelines. 
•  Verifying actual launch performance against initial business assumptions. 
•  Providing management reporting to evaluate performance versus targets. 
Health of the Product Pipeline 
•  Monitoring and tracking the status of the product pipeline. 
•  Establishing integrated data management and MIS for portfolio management. 
•  Developing sustainable revenue sources for business growth. 
•  Continuously assessing the health of existing products, preparing business cases, providing input, and facilitating management decisions. 


Educational Qualification & Experience 
•  MD/MBBS/BDS/M.Pharm/B.Tech (Biotech) with MBA. 
•  5-7 years of experience in Business Development, Medical Affairs, Portfolio Management, NCNBE, Market Research, or R&D, including New Product Development, is preferred.

New Product Portfolio Planning & Management – Medical 
Function : Portfolio Management Reporting to: VP – Special Projects & CEO’s Office 
Job Summary

Collaborates closely with teams in Business/Marketing, Business Development, R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory, IP, Market Research, SFE, CEO Office, Commercial, Medical, Clinical Research, CQC, PMO, New Product Launch, Network Strategy, and Packaging development. 
The Job Would Essentially Involve:
• Ongoing assessment, improvement, and expansion of the product portfolio; facilitating communication between various cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition from concept to launch. 
• Leading the New Product Identification Process: Clinically Assessing and choosing products for both immediate and long-term launches 
• Emphasizing New Clinical, New Biological Entities and Disease Management 
• Conducting Therapy Gap Analysis and suggesting new products. 
• Medical evaluation of upcoming product ideas 
• Examining competitive landscape to discover innovative products globally 
• Development of short term and long term pipeline of products from various Indian and global resources 


Areas of Responsibility
Accountabilities Evaluate and select new products across all therapy areas to expand the local and global product portfolio of the company to maintain a healthy product pipeline  
• Work with management in identifying the critical opportunities that will enable ramp up and meet expectations of future treatment landscape and help finalize the portfolio. 
• Collaborate across BD teams, R&D, IP, Sales and Marketing 
• Leveraging the pipeline of Regulated Markets to emerging markets to ensure value maximization 
• Follow up with respective functions for to be selected and products in the pipeline. 
• Analyse various product parameters such as medical rational, pharmacological characteristics of products, therapy area, place in standard treatment guidelines, competitive landscape, market size 
• Prepare and maintain portfolio tracker based on above analysis, and provide recommendation to portfolio selection committee on project go/no go Consult with internal stakeholders such as R&D, to prioritize products and ensure successful launch into markets  
• Responsible for ideation of  products for introduction into Research and development 
•  Analyse and update competitive landscape for pipeline products on monthly basis and propose strategic steps for the company against competition 
• Periodically conduct portfolio review meetings for pipeline products with leadership team to review proposed projects Identify new entry channels for the company, in order to drive business growth  
• Support due diligence/ M&A team for initiatives of acquisitions, by providing inputs after through research of company portfolio 
• Collecting market insights and intelligence from primary as well as secondary sources and archive it for internal discussions 
• Monitor new drug approvals, newer FDCs, newer formulations etc  in key markets like DCGI, FDA,EU, Korea, Japan, China

Educational Qualification & Experience 
•  MBBS/MD with Portfolio Planning experience of 5-7 years and 5-7 years of experience in Business Development, Medical Affairs, Portfolio Management, NCNBE, Market Research, or R&D, including New Product Development, is preferred.
