General Guidelines and Terms

2. The link for application is available on the CSIR-NEIST Website along with the advertisement. Candidates may click on “CLICK HERE TO APPLY for submission of their application. The link for online application is https://neist.res.in/prostaff/.
3. Interested candidates fulfilling the qualification of concerned Post Code may apply by clicking the “POST NAME” Once application submitted, the Registration Number will be generated. Candidates are advised to keep the Registration Number with the Advt No and Post Code for future correspondence. Candidates are requested to download the registration form from the ‘‘DOWNLOAD’’section of the portal and submit the signed copy at the time of interview.
4. For each Post Code, separate application should be submitted.
5. Candidates are requested to bring with them all ORIGINAL TESTIMONIALS including Mark sheets and Certificates and also a Photograph on the date of the interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered. The selected candidates are expected to join immediately upon selection.
6. The applicants will be subjected to the short listing by the Project Team based on the Academic performances and experiences and only shortlisted candidates will be called for Offline interview to be held at CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat.
7. The list of shortlisted candidates along with the Date and Time of Interview will be uploaded in the CSIR-NEIST website.
8. Candidates need not pay any application fee.
9. During selection, due weight-age will be given to the academic performance and experiences of the candidates. The candidates should have knowledge of computer for day-to-day work.
10. Duration: The Project completion date may be extended depending upon the grant of the Funding Agency.
11. Maximum Age: Closing date of the Advertisement will be taken into consideration (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per Govt of India rules).
12. The engagement will be on purely temporary basis for specific period. It is co-terminus along with the duration of the project and will not confer any right for regularization in the institute.
13. The maximum tenure of engagement of a project staff will be five (5) years considering the engagement in different projects either in the same institute or different institutes of CSIR.
14. Some selected Project Workers may be allowed to do his / her Ph D work based on CSIR Guidelines.
15. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for the Interview.
16. Result awaited candidate need not apply.
