Guru Nanak Dev University was established at Amritsar on November 24, 1969 to mark the 500th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is both a residential and an affiliating university. In conceiving the future course of the University, the objectives enshrined in the Guru Nanak Dev University Act 1969, emphasised that the new University would make provision for imparting education and promoting research in the humanities, learned professions, sciences, especially of applied nature and technology.

Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research fellow (JRF) in a time bound research project for a temporary period, purely on contractual basis as per the following details.
Project Title : Novel AIE+ESIPT active materials for visualization of latent finger / glove prints and applications thereof
Department : Department of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar
Project Tenure : 03 Years (36 Months)
Job Description : The candidate has to perform laboratory experiments, review of literature and manuscript writing.
Essential Qualification : *B.S. 4 years programme / B.Pharm./ M.B.B.S./ Integrated B.S.- M.S./ M.Sc./ B.E./ B.Tech. or equivalent degree, with 55% marks and passing of NET-LS / GATE test
Age Limit : JRF-28 Yrs.
Age relaxation : The upper age limit is relax-able up-to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/ tribes / OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.
Fellowship : Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - Rs. 31,000/- p.m. in first and second years; Rs. 35,000/- p.m. in 3rd upon upgradation
