The Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS) has been established by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi as an autonomous institute, under the Societies act. The mission of ILBS is to become a dedicated international centre of excellence for the diagnosis, management and advanced training and research in the field of liver and biliary diseases. The first phase of ILBS is already functional having 180 hospital beds, 74 of which cater as intensive care (ICU) beds.
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Senior Project Research Fellow, and Junior Research Fellow (JRF), in the Ministry of AYUSH funded Center of Excellence project to the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, Vasant Kunj , New Delhi- 110070, India
Project Title : “Effects of Indian Foods and Ayurvedic Drugs on Healthy and Diseased Liver”
Senior Research Fellow (one)
Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 35000/- + HRA
Eligibility : Essential: NET/GATE qualification or any national eligibility test is mandatory. Post Graduate in Pharmacology (M.Pharm/M.S Pharm). OR Post Graduate (M.Sc) in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Physiology, Biochemistry & Biotechnology or any other relevant discipline from a recognized institution + 2 year research experience. Desirable : Post Graduate in Pharmacology with minimum 60% marks. With experience in Tissue fabrication, Physiology and Pharmacology In vivo studies will be preferred.
Job Responsibilities :
1. Pre-clinical investigations and Development of Animal models: Handling of small Laboratory animal-Mice and Rat. Invivo toxicity and efficacy analysis.
2. Handling of biological samples - Molecular investigations
3. In vitro cell culture including primary Hepaticcells & Organoids.
4. Pharmacodynamics and Pharmacokinetics analysis of Natural/Herbal/Ayurvedic compounds.
5. Data complication, analysis and writing of project report and manuscripts.
Age limit : 35 years
Senior Project Research Fellow (one)
Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 18,000/- + HRA
Eligibility : Essential : 1st class M.Sc in Nutrition / Food and Nutrition or other fields of Life Sciences, from a recognized university with minimum 2 years of research experience. Desirable : Candidate with NET/GATE or any other equivalent National Level Examination will carry additional credit Job Responsibilities: Project related work
Age limit : 35 years
Junior Research Fellow (one)
Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 31000/- + HRA
Eligibility : Essential: Post Graduate in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or any other relevant discipline from a recognized institution. NET/GATE qualification or any national eligibility test is mandatory.
Desirable : M.Sc. with minimum 60% marks. With experience in size exclusion chromatography and Flow Cytometry will be preferred.
Job Responsibilities :
(i) To perform experiments on clinical samples, and follow up details of all patients under the guidance of PI.
(ii) To maintain records of data related to the project
(iii) To update data of patients
(iv) To attend workshops related to the project
(v) To analyze data using advanced statistics and bioinformatics and to write manuscripts

Duration : 3 year (initial contract appointment will be only for 1 year, which will be extended based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds)
