Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H), is a subordinate office under Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.Development of Pharmacopoeias and Formularies as well as acting as Central Drug Testing cum Appellate Laboratory for Indian systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy are the key fields of activity of PCIM&H. The Commission was initially established as Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine (PCIM) on 18th August, 2010 as an autonomous body under Ministry of AYUSH and was registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 on 31st August, 2010. However, in pursuance to the decision of Central Government (dated 20th March, 2014), Homoeopathy was incorporated and the Commission was renamed as Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H).
Applications are invited in the enclosed proforma for the post of Director, Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) Ghaziabad (General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted Non- Ministerial) in Pay Matrix Rs. 1,44,200-2,18,200/-, Level-14 for Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) Ghaziabad by deputation including short term contract
Eligibility
For Deputation (Including Short Term Contract):
Officers under the Central Government or State Government or Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Bodies or Statutory Organizations or recognized Universities or Research Institutions:-
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis ; or
(ii) with 2 years regular service in posts in the pay Level-13A or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or
(iii) with 3 years regular service in posts in the pay Level-13 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications experience etc.
Essential:
i) Master degree in Chemistry or Botany or Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognized University or Institute; OR
M.D. (Ayurveda ) in Rasashastra or Bhaishajya Kalpana or Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana or Dravyaguna; OR
M.D. (Unani) in lim-ul-Advia or Takliswa Dawa Sazi or M.D. (Siddha ) in (Gundapadam), OR
M D. (Homoeopathy) in Pharmacy from a recognized university under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act. 1970 (48 of 1970) or under the Homeopathy Central Council Act 19/3 (59 of 1973) and Enrolment on the Central or State Register of Indian Homeopathy Medicine, with publications of papers on Quality Control and Standardization of Ayurveda or Siddha or Unani or Homoeopathic drugs in reputed journals or chapters in books.
ii) Doctorate degree in relevant subject mentioned under educational qualification
iii) With published research work in reputed journals or chapters in books and record of patent granted or filed.
iv) 20 years post-qualification experience in drug manufacturing or analysis or research or teaching or pharmacopoeial work or quality control and pharmacopoeial standardization of Ayurveda or Siddha or Unani or Homoeopathic drugs.
Desirable :
a) Administrative or Technical experience in a supervisory level at any Department or recognized scientific institution or laboratory or GMP compliant Ayurveda or Siddha or Unani or Homoeopathic drug Industry.
b) Coordination of activities of different sections of a Pharmacopoeial or Ayurveda or Siddha or Unani or Homoeopathic Quality Control Laboratory.
c) Experience of guiding or directing research in the field of specialization.
Note 1 :
The period of deputation (including short contract) including period of deputation (Including short contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed five years.
Note 2 : The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation (including short terrn contract) shall not exceed fifty-eight years as on the closing date of the receipt of applications. The pay and other terms and conditions of the official selected will be governed by the provisions laid down in Govt, of India.

While forwarding the applications, it may be ensured that the particulars of the candidates are verified and that they fulfill the eligibility conditions and the required documents are enclosed with the applications. Applications received after the due date or without the required documents or otherwise found incomplete will not be considered.
