Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology, IASST, is a premier scientific research organization in the north-east region, conceived and nurtured by the Assam Science Society in its initial years and was inaugurated by Nobel Laureate Dorothy C. Hodgkin on 3rd November 1979. Subsequently, it was supported by the state govt. as its only autonomous R&D institute till March 2009. The institute was taken over in March, 2009 by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India as one of its autonomous R&D institute.

Applications are invited for recruitment of a contractual position of Department of Science & Technology Development of Hybrid Electroactive Biomaterials for Peripheral Nerve Regeneration Life Sciences Division, Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technolog Guwahati.
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. in Biological Sciences/ Nano science & Technology with marks
Age Limit : Upper age limitmaximum 28 years at the time of application. Relaxation as per GoI rules.
Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 20,000/ HRA (As per DST OM no. SR/S9/Z 05/2019 dated 10 July, 2020)
Desirable : Candidates should have interest in performing interdisciplinary research. Candidate having hands on experience in material synthesis and cell culture
Duration : Initial recruitment is for 01 (one) year and on internal assessment.
