NIAB is an autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The Institute aims to develop and harness novel and emerging biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting-edge areas for improving animal health and productivity as well as contribute to human health and welfare.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
One position of Junior Research Fellow against the DBT funded project entitled “Random and targeted mutagenesis of zoonotic pathogen Leptospira interrogans: in perspective of vaccine development”. PI: Dr. Syed M. Faisal, Scientist-E.
Fellowship amount : Rs.25000/-PM+30% HRA = 32,500/- PM as per the DST guidelines.
Eligibility: Post Graduate Degree in life sciences with NET qualification or Post Graduate degree in professional course. (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014 and SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019). However Non NET candidates can also apply who will be paid as per their eligibility. Candidate with experience in molecular biology and Immunological techniques and animal (mice, hamster) handling is desirable. Candidates having prior experience in working with Leptospira will be preferred.
Age : 28 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
