Applications are invited from eligible candidates, for the post of post of “Junior Research Fellow” (JRF) on contract basis for the SERB funded project entitled “Role of alpha-synuclein phosphorylation in dopaminergic neuron dysfunction” – under the guidance of Dr. Indrani Datta, Associate Professor of Biophysics & Principal Investigator.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Essential Qualification : M.Sc or M.Pharm degree in any field of Life science/Biophysics/ Regenerative medicine with a good academic record. CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification will be preferred.
Desirable experience : Candidates with experience of molecular biology, cell culture & western blot are encouraged to apply.
Nature of work : The project covers extensive Live-cell imaging and flow cytometry techniques in detecting functional parameters (intracellular calcium, mitochondrial membrane potential, exocytosis & endocytosis) of neuronal cells, protein and gene expression studies.
Maximum Age Limit : 28 Years
*Salary : Rs.31,000/- + 24% H.R.A
*For Non NET/GATE candidates Rs.16,000/- + 30% H.R.A.
Duration of the Project : 1 year 5 months Initial appointment will be made for a period of six months and will be extended further depending upon the performance of the candidate.
