The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963.
Post : Research Associate
Applications are invited for the one post of Research Associate in ICMR project entitled “Therapeutic and diagnostic implications of glycated proteome profiling in co-pathogenesis of Diabetes and Osteoarthritis”.
Essential qualification : PhD / MD / MS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research and teaching experience after M.Pharm. / M.E. / M.Tech. with atleast one paper in science citation index (SCI) journal.
Desirable qualification : Research experience in the field of molecular biology and proteomics.
Upper age limit : 35 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Woman candidate as per ICMR rules)
Emoluments : Rs. 47,000/-PM+16% HRA as per ICMR rules.
