Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed. The institute is currently operating from its transit campus at Habitat Centre, Sector-64, Phase-X, Mohali, Punjab.
Highly motivated and bright candidates are required for the position of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the research project funded by ‘SERB’.
Title of the Research Project: Synthesis of a New Class of Strong Organic Acceptors and their Nanoparticles Formulation for Sensing Application

For JRF
Essential: M.Sc./ M.Tech. Degree in Chemistry/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology with NET/GATE qualification.
Desirable: Experience in sensing/ catalysis/ nanoscience and nanotechnology will be preferred.
Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 10th July 2019 which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.
Salary: Rs. 25,000/- consolidated per month (Pre-revised)
For SRF
Essential: M.Sc./M.Tech. Degree in Chemistry/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology with two year of research experience and NET/GATE qualification.
Desirable: Experience in sensing/catalysis/nanoscience and nanotechnology will be preferred.
Age limit: Must not be over 30 years as on 10th July 2019 which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India
Salary: Rs. 28000/- consolidated per month (pre-revised)
Duration: For a period till 2nd December, 2019.
General Terms and Conditions:
The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
