To trace the history of Jadavpur University is to trace a part of India’s freedom movement, at least from the Swadeshi Movement onwards. It was 1905 -1906. Bengal stood divided. The times were feverish. The hegemony of the British establishment had to be challenged. Education had to play a new role in this changed scenario. It had to become a new form of resistance through which the emergent nationalist spirit could be propagated. With this in mind the National Council of Education (NCE) came into being.

A Walk-in-interview will be held in the Exam Hall of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata 700032 for the recruitment of Project Assistant for JU-RUSA 2.0 sponsored project entitled “Design and experimental validation of some derivatives and analogs of isoglutamine as dual inhibitors of matrix metlloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and histone deacetylase 8 (HDAC8) by synthesis and biological evaluation to get some useful anticancer agents" under the supervision of Prof. Tarun Jha.
Essential Qualification : M. Pharm. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Remuneration : Rs 16,000/- + HRA
Age : Not more than 40 Years
Tenure : Upto 31st March 2020
Interested candidates may appear in person on the day of the interview with an application in the prescribed format, obtainable from Information Counter of the University between 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Original and self-attested copies of mark-sheets and certificates are to be produced at the time of interview. No TA/DA is admissible.
