Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), an institution of education, training and research is established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India under the auspices of UNESCO. The Centre will focus on cooperatively working towards shared biotechnology growth in the Asia-Pacific Region. Regional interactions in biotechnology will promote co-operation amongst the countries to develop necessary infrastructure and capacity building for economic benefit of our societies.

Title of the Project: “Deriving gene regulatory networks mediating legume-powdery mildew cross-talk during compatible and incompatible interactions”.

Duration: Until Jan 11, 2020

Essential qualifications: M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology with NET qualification and minimum 60% marks in qualifying exams. Practical knowledge of basic molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid extraction andPCR is essential. A strong motivation and commitment towards research is required. The person should be a hard worker and a team player.

Age limit: Should be below 28 years on the date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rule.

Desirable qualifications : Research experience in plant biology.
