Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an academic institution established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India with regional and global partnerships synergizing with the programmes of UNESCO as a Category II Centre. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology in a globally competitive research milieu. In 2016, RCB was recognised as an Institution of National Importance by the Parliament of India.
Post : Senior Technology Officer
Title of Project: “Inter-Institutional Program for Maternal, Neonatal and Infant Sciences: A translational approach to studying preterm birth”.
Duration: Initially for 1 year, may be extended on annual evaluation till the duration of the project.
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D degree in the areas of Bioinformatics/Computational Biology
Desirable:
• Hands on expertise in proteomics/genomics/transcriptomics data analysis.
• Proven knowledge of biological network and pathway analysis.
• Experience in MATLAB and R-language
Job description:
• Candidate has to analyse the large clinical proteomics data that will be generated in in-house mass spectrometry laboratory. Laboratory is well equipped with Mass spectrometry and computational facilities for large scale proteome data analysis.
• Candidate will be given exposer to complete mass spectrometry work flow (sample preparation, data collection and analysis)
Age: Within 35 years. Age relaxation as per Govt. rule.
