The Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), is a state-of-the-art research institute in Bangalore, India, dedicated to the study of stem cell and regenerative biology. An autonomous institute funded by the Dept of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, inStem emphasizes collaborative research in stem cell biology. inStem’s mandate to allow this cross-disciplinary, multi-pronged approach to research, straddles the divide between clinical and laboratory research in stem cell biology. In trying to answer intractable and challenging questions that face the field, inStem seeks to rewrite the paradigm of the research institute: without barriers and across disciplines.
Post : Project Assistant position- VNOCI grant
One Project Assistant position is available immediately in a collaborative project, “Virtual Network Oral Cancer Institute” funded by the Department of Biotechnology. The person hired into this position will work in a collaborative environment that will involve extensive interactions with other project members at inStem, IISc, and the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology in Bengaluru. The person will work in the laboratories of Prof. S. Ramaswamy at inStem and Prof. Annapoorni Rangarajan at IISc.
Eligibility: M.Sc. in any Biological Sciences stream. Previous laboratory/research experience will be a plus.
Salary: Rs. 14,000/- plus 30% HRA as per DBT norms.
Duration: Initially for a period of 1 year from the date of joining, extension possible for an additional year up to a maximum of 2 years in total.
