Applications are invited for recruitment of one Scientist (Scientist-D) on contractual basis with consolidated pay under the DBT sponsored project entitled, “Integrating herbal medicine of NER with contemporary approaches to develop therapeutic strategies for metabolic syndrome” at Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) Garchuk, Guwahati (Assam). Educational Qualification and Experience:
PhD in any branch of Life Sciences with at least five years research experience in the area of cell biology in any reputed laboratory.
Must have extensive experience with methods to monitor cellular mechanisms and also be familiar with high-throughput screening protocols.
Sound knowledge of mechanisms involved in the metabolic syndrome is essential. The candidate must have good publication in Thomson Reuters impact factor journals.
Desirable: Expertise in carryout animal experiment and a knowledge of flow cytometry, cell membrane O2 potential (XF24 analyzer), confocal microscopy. The candidate should possess ability to lead in a group of several researchers and provide technical and intellectual support to the group.
Flexibility: In case, suitable candidate with listed educational qualification and expertise is not available applicant will be considered at Scientist - C category with consolidated pay of Rs. 66,750/- pm.
Age: Age limit is 40 years on last date prescribed for application submission. It is relaxable for SC/ST/Woman candidates as per Govt. rule.
