The ICGEB is an international, nonprofit research organization. Established as a special project of UNIDO, it became fully autonomous in 1994 and now counts over 60 Member States. The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology provides a scientific and educational environment of the highest standard and conducts innovative research in life sciences for the benefit of developing countries. It strengthens the research capability of its Members through training and funding programmes and advisory services and represents a comprehensive approach to promoting biotechnology internationally.
Post : Research Associate (RA) and Senior Research Fellow
One Research Associate (RA) and one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) positions are available in the ICGEB Yeast Biofuel Group for a DBT sponsored project to work on recombinant protein expression in yeast/yeast metabolic engineering and next generation sequencing data analysis. Initially, these positions are available for the period of one year and based on the performance of the candidate can be further extended.
Educational Qualification: RA candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences/Bioinformatics. SRF candidates should hold a MSc. with experience (minimum 2 years).
Candidates with prior research experience in yeast molecular biology/ cloning/ metabolic engineering/ protein expression and computational biology / NGS analysis/ genomics, proteomics will be preferred.
