The University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Panjab University is a premier institution of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in the country. The institute has covered a long and glorious journey of 76 years starting from Lahore in 1944 and finally settling to the present campus in Chandigarh at the foothills of Himachal. In its travelogue, the institute crossed multiple milestones and continue to head ahead towards the well-defined goals. The elevation of the status from department to the level of an institute i.e. University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1994, and hosting of Indian Pharmaceutical Congress in the same year.
Post : Manager
Applications are invited for one position of Manager (purely on temporary basis) under Cluster Innovation Centre in Biotechnology (CIC-B), Panjab University,Chandigarh. The candidates will be appointed initially for a period of one year extendablefor another year on the basis of evaluation after completion of the first year. The post ispurely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the program. There will be no financialliability on the part of the University, after the termination of the program. The incumbent shallhave no claim whatsoever for the regularization of his/her services.
Essential Qualifications:
Master’s degree – MBA or M.Sc. Microbiology / Biotechnology / Microbial Biotechnology. Preference will be given to candidates with Ph.D. degree. Also candidates with experience will be preferred.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in purchase and accounts for a period of 5 years in a Govt./PSU/Institution/industry
Work Profile
To work under the instructions of the Chief Coordinator. It includes independent handling of office, preparation of reports, managing the logistics of innovation fellows, any kind of collaborators from both industry and academia, organizing workshops/conferences/symposia etc. and managing logistics for the same.
Emoluments : Rupees 50,000 (fixed) per month
