National AIDS Research Institute [NARI] was established in October 1992 in Bhosari, Pune on a seven acre plot. The Institute has progressively expanded its activities in various aspects of research on HIV and AIDS through infra-structural development, capacity building & research programmes. The present infrastructure includes the Institute housed in a 28024 sq. mtr space, residential accomadation for the staff, a power plant to ensure uninterrupted power supply and an incinerator for safe disposal of bio-waste.
Walk-in-Interview for the following post under ICMR sponsored project “Genetic Variants of Matrix Metalloproteinase Enzyme in HIVrelated Neurological disease” as detailed below. The post is purely temporary & for the period of project only.
Post: Junior Research Fellow- 1
Age: Maximum 28 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/women/physical ly handicapped candidates as per rule). The posts are for 3 years, coterminus with the project.
Essential Qualification & Experience: M.Sc. First Class in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Medical Microbiology / Life Sciences
Desirable Qualification & Experience: CSIR/UGC/DBT/ ICMR JRF/GATE Qualified will be preferred and Experience in Molecular techniques
Job responsibilities: Collection of sample, DNA extraction, Real time PCR, Sequencing, Elisa
Salary: 16000+ HRA @ 20% P.M. for first 2 year and Rs.18000 + HRA @ 20% P.M. for 3rd year
