The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) has been established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). Projects Title : “Genetic and Functional Characterization of L. donovani isolates causing Atypical Cutaneous Leishmaniasis in the newer and understudied endemic state of Himachal Pradesh”

Project duration : 2 Years
Engagement Period : Initially for a period of one year, further extendable subject to extension of project, satisfactory work and availability of funds in the project head.
Age : Below 28 years as on date of interview (Relaxation in age is permissible for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India rules).
Fellowship : Rs 31,000/- per month +HRA (as per norms)
Essential Qualification : • M.Sc./M.tech in Life Sciences / Microbiology / Zoology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Molecular Medicine or related sciences with at least 55% marks for GN/OBC (50% for SC/ST/PH) from UGC recognized University/ Institute
• Qualified CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE/NET-LSexams for JRF.
Desirable Qualification : Work experinece involving human samples, animal studies, cell culture experiments, molecular biology is desirable but not limiting.
