National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Kolkata, is an Institute of National importance under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. NIPER Kolkata has established a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Flow Chemistry and Continuous Manufacturing.
Applications are hereby invited for the recruitment of the below posts at the Centre of Excellence on Flow Chemistry and Continuous Manufacturing purely on a temporary basis for 1 year, and further may extend based on the candidate's performance.
JRF-Flow chemistry (02 posts)
Upper age limit (Yr) : 35
Educational qualification and experience / skill : M.Pharm / M.Sc / M.S. / M.Tech (Organic chemistry/Medicinal chemistry) with GPAT/GATE/any National Eligibility test. Should have experience in synthesis of chiral molecules, muti-step synthesis/ synthesis of API/Total synthesis of natural products. Should be well versed in analytical techniques and interpretation of analytical data.
Salary : 37,000/- +HRA
Job requirement for JRF-Chemistry: the candidate should design and synthesize the Chiral API molecules and natural products in the laboratory using a flow reactor and traditional batch process, write manuscripts for scientific publications, and perform other assigned research work.
JRF - Continuous manufacturing (02 posts)
Upper age limit (Yr) : 35
Educational qualification and experience / skill : M.Pharm / M.S. (Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Technology), with GPAT / GATE / any National Eligibility test. Should have experience in formulation development of solid orals/semi-solids research. Experience in PAT tools/continuous manufacturing is highly desirable. Candidates with industrial experience will be given preference.
Salary : 37,000/- +HRA
Job requirement for JRF- Continuous manufacturing: the candidate should develop new formulations in a laboratory using continuous and traditional batch processes, write manuscripts for scientific publications, and perform other assigned research work.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Flow Chemistry (01 post)
Upper age limit (Yr) : 60
Educational qualification and experience / skill : Ph.D in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal chemistry/Flow chemistry. Should have minimum 10 years of research experience, and out of which 5 years should in continuous manufacturing/oral solid formulation development.
Salary : 100,000/-
Job requirement for CEO- Flow Chemistry: Managing the project-related work, collaborating with industries and transfer of technologies, designing the projects, training the academic and industrial researchers on flow chemistry, planning for generating revenue for the centre and performing other assigned work.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Continuous manufacturing (01 post)
Upper age limit (Yr) : 60
Educational qualification and experience / skill : PhD in Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Sciences / relevant field. Should have a minimum of 10 years of research experience (Post PhD), out of which 5 years should be in Continuous manufacturing/related formulation development activities in the industry. Candidates having patents and publications in continuous manufacturing/relevant technologies / formulations are highly desirable.
Salary : 100,000/-

Terms and conditions
1. The above position is purely contractual and initially for 1 year.
2. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim for regular appointment/absorption in the institute.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
