Regional Centre for Biotechnology, is an Institution of national importance established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, with regional and global partnerships synergizing with the programmes of UNESCO. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology in a globally competitive research milieu.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Title of Project : Exploring the Entamoeba histolytica ribosome as a potential drug target to treat amoebiasis.
Duration : Initially for 1 year and may be extended after reviewing the progress.
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. in life sciences with NET/DBT-JRF/GATE or equivalent exam cleared. Practical experience in protein expression & purification, ribosome isolation cryo- EM data processing, atomic model building and model validation.
Desirable Qualifications : Research experience in structure-based drug design, MD simulations, and molecular modeling. Good oral and written communication skills. A strong motivation for a career in research.
Upper Age limit : 30 Years as on 31.01.2025
Fellowship : Rs.31,000/- + 27% HRA per month
