NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics.

Post : Junior Research Fellow (1 Position)

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.

Project Title : “Exploring how Theileria parasites repress host gene expression (PARA- REPRESS)”
PI : Dr. Anand Srivastava, Scientist-E.
Tenable upto : One year, likely to extended based on performance and co-terminus with the duration of the project.

Eligibility : Post Graduate Degree in Natural Sciences with experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutions or Science and technology organizations.

Experience : Candidate with experience in epigenomics, cancer biology, molecular biology, cell culture, and bioinformatics will be given preference.
Age : 35 years.

Fellowship amount : Rs. 37,000/- + HRA(if applicable) candidates with qualification of NET or GATE or undergone a selection process through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions as per the DST guidelines.
