Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. IPC is created to set standards of drugs in the country. Its basic function is to update regularly the standards of drugs commonly required for treatment of diseases prevailing in this region. It publishes official documents for improving Quality of Medicines by way of adding new and updating existing monographs in the form of Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP). It further promotes rational use of generic medicines by publishing National Formulary of India. IP prescribes standards for identity, purity and strength of drugs essentially required from health care perspective of human beings and animals.
In order to increase the capacity building in the area of Pharmacovigilance, NCC-PvPI invites applications from students who are pursuing or completed graduation/Post graduation in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences for Internship in Pharmacovigilance

Eligibility
The candidate pursuing or completed any of the following courses/areas :
• Pharmaceutical Sciences (B.Pharm/M.Pharm/Pharm D./Ph.D)
• Medical Sciences (MBBS, MD, DM)
• Dental Sciences (BDS, MDS and Ph.D)
• Nursing (B.Sc./ M.Sc. Nursing)
• M.Sc. Clinical Pharmacology/M.Sc. Clinical Research.
Selection Criteria
The interns will be selected based on merit/preassigned criteria.
• The candidate must Posses first class in the Graduation/Post-graduation in relevant discipline
• Must submit a forwarding letter from the Head of the Department/Institution
• Undergraduate students must submit a Letter of Recommendation from College/University/institute indicating the requirement of training and duration as necessary from the fulfilment of their degree.
Place of Posting
• The selected interns may be posted at NCC-PvPI/ AMCs under PvPI anywhere in India.
Duties of the Intern
During the internship programme, the interns will assist PvPI in collection, Collation Case Processing, signal detection analysis of AE/ADR data and Creating Awareness of ADR Reporting at NCC and AMCs.
Fees / Renumeration
• No fees will be collected from the participants for their internship.
• A Certificate of Completion of Internship will be provided for those interns who completes their internship and submit a report of the same to PvPI.
• No remuneration/ Accommodation will be paid during the internship.
