National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati (NIPER-G) is an autonomous institute of National importance and the first national pharma institute in NE India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The Institute intents to fill the following Project positions in various sponsored projects through physical/ on-line interview.
Research Associate - I
No of post : 01 position
Fellowship : Rs. 47,000/- + 16 % HRA (if applicable)
Qualifications and Experience : Essential: Ph.D. in Life Science or M.S./ M. Pharm./ M. Tech. with 3 years of research, teaching experience with 55% marks and at least one research publication in SCI indexed Journal. GPAT/GATE/CSIR-NET or any National entrance test exam conducted by any central Govt. department is essential for candidate with Post graduation. Desirable: Should have experience on herbal molecules. Person with expertise on anti-malarial activity will be given preference.

Project Assistant

Name of the Project / Sponsoring Agency/ Project Code : “Ultrathin 2D Nanomaterials Based Biosensor for Multiplexed Detection of Breast Cancer Biomarkers” The Project is funded under Department of Science and Technology (DST)-INSPIRE faculty scheme. (GAP-143)
Qualifications and Experience : Essential: M.Sc./ B.Tech in Biomedical/ Nanotechnology/ Material Science/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Chemical engineering/ Electronics or relevant field. Desirable: Should have exposure to biosensors and/or microfluidics technique.

Project Assistant

Name of the Project / Sponsoring Agency/ Project Code : “Integrated Information System to Interpret, Integrate and mitigation of cardio metabolic health care in North east tribes of Assam and Mizoram” The Project is funded by ICMR. (GAP-121)
Qualifications and Experience : Essential: Graduate in Life Science or Pharmaceutical sciences from a recognized university with three years’ experience or Master’s degree in Pharmacology/ Biotechnology/ Clinical Pharmacology/ Pharmacy Practice/ Biochemistry and other relevant subject from a recognized University. Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in clinical sample handling, clinical research, and community related work specially to deal with tribal of NE states. The selected candidate is also expected to organize, manage the project work and assist day to day research work to facilitate and manage the project work. He/she should be expert in blood withdrawing, biological sample processing and storage He/she may speak local language Assamese. Selected person should be willing to travel to tribal areas.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Name of the Project / Sponsoring Agency/ Project Code : DST SERB (SRG) sponsored two (02) years project entitled ‘Investigating the interplay of Kidney-Heart inflammatory axis and the role of histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC 6) signaling in chronic kidney disease” (GAP-144).
Qualifications and Experience : Essential: Postgraduate degree [M.S. (Pharm)/M. Pharm] in Pharmacology and Toxicology with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. GPAT/GATE/CSIR-NET or any National entrance test exam conducted by any central Govt. department is essential for candidates with a Master degree. Desirable: Experience in handling of laboratory animals and hands on experience in surgery model to induce disease model. Experience in handling of mammalian cell culture and different molecular biology techniques (Western blot, ELISA, qRT-PCR and FACS). Candidates with at least one publication in SCI indexed journals will be preferred.

It is mandatory to fill the application online and no other form of application will be entertained. Candidates are requested to arrange the softcopies of all the required documents before filling the application.
4. Candidates should read carefully the requisite minimum essential qualifications, age and eligibility, experience criteria etc. laid down in the advertisement before applying for the above post. Since all the applications will be screened on the basis of data submitted by the candidate in the online application form, the candidates must satisfy themselves of the suitability for the position to which they are applying. If at any stage during the recruitment and selection process, it is found that candidates have furnished false or wrong information, their candidature will be rejected.

8. Fulfillment of qualifications and experience is an essential requirement. As stated, the Institute is free to set the benchmark and call only the eligible candidates for the on-line interview. Further, NIPER Guwahati also reserves the right NOT to fill any of the post advertised, in the event or exigency so decided.

10. In case any dispute arises on account of interpretation of clauses in any version of this Advertisement other than English, the English version available on the NIPER-G Website shall prevail.
11. CANVASSING IN ANY FORM MAY LEAD TO CANCELLATION OF THE CANDIDATE.
12. All appointments shall be on contract of one year or less if the project is terminated earlier. The appointments are against the temporary project positions and will not continue in any circumstances beyond the duration of the said project. Any subsequent contract in the project or another project will be fresh appointment. The appointment in the outside funded project does not give project staff any claim whatsoever for appointment/regularization against any Institute post.
13. Age will be calculated as on the last date of application i.e. 20-01-2022.
14. List of the Shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the Institute website.
