The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
Project Assistant (Post=1)
Eligibility : Graduate in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology from a recognized university with three years of research work experience from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology from a recognized university
Desirable : Experience in molecular biology techniques and knowledge of various computer applications, data analysis and bioinformatics
Age Limit : Below 30 years (5 years of relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Women candidates) Remuneration: Rs32,350/- pm fixed(As per ICMR sanction letter)
Junior Research Fellow (Post = 1)
Eligibility : Master’s degree in Life Sciences with any National Eligibility Tests (eg. CSIR-UGC, NET, GATE etc) or any National level examination
Desirable : Experience in molecular biology and proteomics techniques
Age Limit : Below 30 years (5 years of relaxation in case of SC / ST / OBC / PH / Women candidates)
Remuneration : Rs 31,000/- + 16% HRA per month (As per ICMR sanction letter)

The competent authority may select candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate and reserves the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee. The advertised post is purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. Those selected shall have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR or PGIMER or any other project. No separate letter will be sent for interview and No TA/DA will be paid.
