The seed for the establishment and growth of TANUVAS was sown as early as 1876, when the Madras Veterinary College was started as an Agricultural School in Chennai to offer diploma and certificate course in the field of veterinary and animal sciences. The institute attained the status of a college in the year 1903 (01.10.1903), when it started functioning at Dobbin Hall, Chennai and admitted 20 students for a three-year diploma course called GMVC (Graduate of Madras Veterinary College).

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligible candidates for the following temporary posts in the DBT funded scheme on Translational Research Platform for Veterinary Biologicals- Phase III.

Post Doctoral Fellow - 01 Post
Essential Qualifications : Doctoral degree in life sciences / Veterinary / Pharmacy with previous research experience in monoclonal antibody production as evidenced by peer reviewed publications in indexed journals (PubMed)
Consolidated pay : Up to Rs. 70,900/- p. m

Research Associate II - 01 Post
Essential Qualifications : Ph.D / M.D / M.S / MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching, design and development experience after M.V.Sc / M.Pharm / ME / M. Tech in Animal Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Nanotechnology / Genetic Engineering/ Microbiology and related disciplines with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable : Previous research experience in Next-Generation sequencing as evidenced by peer reviewed publications in indexed journals (PubMed) / industrial experience
Consolidated pay : Rs. 49,000/- + HRA @ 24% (as applicable) p. m

Senior Research Fellow - 01 Post
Essential Qualifications : Post Graduate degree or Graduate/ Postgraduate degree in professional courses in Animal Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Nanotechnology / Genetic Engineering / Microbiology and related disciplines selected through a process described through any one of the following: a. Scholars who are selected through National eligibility Tests- CIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. 2 years of research experience
Consolidated pay : Up to Rs. 35,000/- + HRA @ 24% (as applicable) pm
