The Regional Cancer Centre at Thiruvananthapuram is a cancer care hospital and research centre. RCC was established in 1981 by the government of Kerala and the government of India. It is located in the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College campus. Regional Cancer Centres (RCCs) are cancer care hospitals and research institutes operating in India under the joint control and funding of the Government of India and the respective state governments.

Post : Clinical Research Associate

Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram is looking for a dynamic female candidate to fill up one post of Clinical Research Associate for a Research Project involving preventive screening and monitoring of Breast Cancer patients.

Qualification and Experience
• University Degree in Science (Bachelor/Masters/PGDCR/MBBS) - Biology, Biostatistics, Pharmacy, Pharmacology or related discipline
• Two years’ experience in a hospital set up
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to recruit participants, follow up with them and ability to interact with healthcare professionals, researchers and sponsors
• Good organising and problem solving skills
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Spreadsheets

Age Limit: 36 years as on 01.01.2020, with the usual age relaxation prescribed for eligible candidates.

Remuneration: Rs.20,000 p.m. (fixed)

Period: Initially for one year; extendable upto 3 years

Primary Role and Responsibilities
• Coordinate and execute clinical study as per good clinical practice and protocol
• Recruit participants required for the project and explain the procedure to the participants and family members
• Get informed consent from participants
• Conduct Breast screening using a novel technology
• Complete case report form (CRF) daily
• Monitor individual participants and follow up regularly for additional tests and visits
• Maintain data bases of participant information
• Collaborate and liaise with study team members
