The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur (formerly Regional Engineering College, Durgapur), was established by an Act of Parliament in 1960 as one of the eight such colleges aimed to function as a pace setter for engineering education in the country and to foster national integration.It is a fully-funded premier Technological Institution of the Government of India and is administered by an autonomous Board of Governors. The Institute is a University which awards B.Tech., M.C.A., M.Sc., M.B.A.,M.Tech. and Ph.D.

Post : Junior Research Fellow

Salary / Fellowship : Fellowship will be @ Rs. 31,000/- p.m. + 16% HRA Fellowship is available for a maximum period of 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria : M.Sc. in Zoology / Botany /Biochemistry or an allied area with at least 60% marks. Candidates should have a NET/GATE qualification.

Name of the Project : Molecular characterization of a small-molecule based reprogramming of non-adipocyte cells to brown adipocytes for its potential use as antiobesity drug.

1. The above position is purely contractual, and is for the duration of the project only. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regular appointments/absorption in this institute.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
