The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients. Hamdard University is setting up Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (HIMSR) in its campus of Jamia Hamdard at Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi-110062.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow in the SERB (DST) funded ‘Early Career Research Award’ entitled “Mechanistic role of fibronectin containing the alternatively spliced extra domain A in myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury” (Principal Investigator: Dr. Prem Prakash, Assistant Professor, JH-Institute of Molecular Medicine, SIST, Jamia Hamdard).
Duration : Initially for 12 months and will be extended after satisfactory performance
Emolument: Junior Research Fellowship as per SERB-DST norm.
Minimum Qualification : M.Sc. with Fist Division in Life Sciences / Zoology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology/ M.Pharm. (Pharmacology). NET-LS or GPAT is and essential qualification for the position.
Age Limit : The upper age limit will be 28 years. Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST/PWD/OBC candidates.
