The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established as the Department of Chemical Technology on 1st October 1933 by the University of Mumbai, through active support of industries and philanthropists. The Institute was most popularly known as UDCT, Mumbai. Research has been an integral part of ICT since its inception and it has created over 500 first generation entrepreneurs. The UDCT grew significantly in stature and was granted autonomy under UGC regulations by the University of Mumbai and further converted into an Institute on 26th January 2002.

Project Title : A Multi-scale Approach to Combat the mechanisms of Antimicrobial Resistance through PPEF a known bacterial topoisomerase IA inhibitor

Sponsor : Department of Biotechnology and BIRAC

Principle Investigator : Prof. Padma V. Devarajan

Qualifications : M.Pharm. Candidates must be conversant with NANO DDS development and evaluation. Candidates must preferably have experience in animal handling and antimicrobial testing.

Remuneration/Fellowship : Rs 31,000/= plus HRA (24 %) as applicable per month, for the first two years to be increased as per DBT guidelines

The project fellow will be appointed initially for one year and the tenure may be extended based on performance for the subsequent period. Selected fellows may be permitted to register for PhD(Tech) under the supervision of Prof. Padma V. Devaraj an, in keeping with the rules of ICT.

The interviews will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 4.30 pm in Pharma Conference Room, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga, Mumbai 400019. Selection will be based on an interview conducted by a committee. The recommendation of the committee will be final. No TA/DA will be provided to appear for this interview.
