Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, popularly known as CIMAP, is a frontier plant research laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Established originally as Central Indian Medicinal Plants Organisation (CIMPO) in 1959, CIMAP is steering multidisciplinary high quality research in biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) with its research headquarter at Lucknow and Research Centres at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar and Purara. CIMAP Research Centres are aptly situated in different agro-climatic zones of the country to facilitate multi-location field trials and research.
Eligible and interested candidates may attend the Interview for engagement on purely temporary basis as Project Assistants (Level-II) under Aroma Mission Project (HCP-0007) and Research Associate (RA-I) under DBT sponsored GAP project tenable at CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre, Bengaluru.
Project Assistant (Level-II) – One post
Qualification
Essential: M.Sc. with Min. 55% in Botany.
Desirable: Experience in Germplasm collection and evaluation in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.

Project Assistant (Level-II) – One post
Qualification
Essential: M.Sc. with Min. 55% in Botany.
Desirable: Field experiment, data collection and demonstration experience in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.

Stipend per month : Rs.25, 000/- + HRA

Qualification
Essential: M.Sc. with Min. 55% in Botany/Biotechnology/Microbiology.
Desirable: Field collection and lab experience with diversity studies in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.

Research Associate (RA-I) – One post
Qualification
Essential: M.Sc. with Min. 55% in Botany and three years of research experiences or Ph.D. submitted or awarded in Botany with at least one research paper in SCI journal. Desirable: Plant Taxonomy / Ecology studies with Field Experience in Western Ghats.
Maximum Age Limit : 35 Years
Stipend per month : Rs. 36,000/- + HRA
Terms & Conditions:
• The upper age limit will be as on Date of Interview which is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Persons with disabilities and 3 years for OBC candidates.
• Special age relaxation in case of widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands, who are not remarried as per rules.
• The position will be co-terminus with the Network, Grant-in aid projects and other projects against which the stipend is offered to the candidates and are non-transferable to another Project. If the number of candidates is large, a written test may be conducted to shortlist the candidates for interview.
• Candidates are requested to be present at 09:00 AM for enrolment.
• Candidates who come late will not be entertained.
Interested candidates may appear before the Committee on 29th January 2019 at 10:00 AM at CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre, Bengaluru along with their signed Bio-Data in prescribed proforma with original and attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and a recent passport size photograph. No TA will be admissible.
