National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. Applications are invited from eligible candidate for filling up the following temporary position for the Industry sponsored project to be undertaken in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of this Institute. The position is temporary and the offer will be initially for a period of ONE Year that can be extended further based on the performance and will be co terminus with the project. If the candidate also fulfils the criteria, admission in Ph.D through NIPER entrance may be considered. The requisite qualification & experience etc. are given below.

Project Title : Exploring neuroprotective effects of aqueous extract of P.embilica in animal model of ischemic stroke

Qualification and Experience required
M.S(Pharm)/M.Pharm in Pharmacology and Toxicology/ Biotechnology with valid NET/GATE/GPAT. OR M.Sc.in Biochemistry/Biomedical Science/Biomedical Technology/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences with valid NET/GATE. Work experience in molecular biology and in vivo stroke model is desirable. NET/GATE/GPAT qualified candidates will be given preference.

Job Profile
In this project, primary focus is to therapeutic use of P.embilica in animal model of ischemic stroke and exploring the mechanism of neuroprotection. Candidate should be keen in learning animal surgical skills.

Salary : Rs.25,000 per month
