The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.

In the project entitled : “Establishment of the Indian Stroke Clinical Trial Network (INSTRUCT)”.
Minimum qualifications: - Graduation in Medical Sciences (MBBS/BDS/BAMS) or Masters in Life Sciences (M.Sc./MPT/M Pharma).
Preferably : 2 years research experience in Clinical Research / degree or diploma in
Clinical Research from a. recognized Board/ University.
One year minimum job commitment from the successful candidate is also required.
Age: As per ICMR Guidelines.
A C.V. from the eligible candidate is required in advance up to 10th Jan, 2019 before 1.00 PM which may be sent through Post/ Email (ctrial2@gmail.com) or can be submitted by hand in Room No. 18, Department of Neurology. A letter of recommendation from previous employer if required should be available.
