CSIR-Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology (IGIB), desires to engage qualified incumbents on purely temporary basis as detailed below:

Post Code-1 Project Assistant-II (01 post)
Essential Qualification : M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences with at least 55% marks
Desirable: Skill in Genomics and Molecular Technologies with practical aptitude for imparting training
Age Limit : 30 Years
Stipend (per month) : Rs. 25,000/- + 30 % HRA per month
Initial Tenure Till : 31-03-2018
(Project Code –GAP0149) “Investigation of mechanisms of emerging drug resistance in Trichophyton sp., the major causative agents of fungal skin infections”
Post Code-2 JRF (02 post)
Essential Qualification : M.Sc./B.Tech in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics or equivalent with at least 55% marks
Desirable:
Post 1: Microbial handling
Post 2: Genome informatics/NGS methods
Age Limit : 28 Years
Stipend (per month) : Rs. 25,000/- + 30 % HRA per month
Initial Tenure Till : 31-01-2019
Age relaxation as per Govt. of India instructions.
Engagement is for the project and on behalf of the funding agency. The duration of the post is initially as mentioned above or till the closing date of the project, whichever is earlier. Tenure may be extendable up to project duration. Contract may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any CSIR/IGIB post.
Candidates should note that non-fulfillment of the eligibility criterion will result in cancellation of candidature at any stage.

No application would be entertained with “result awaited” status or after due date.
List of shortlisted candidates and candidates kept in panel will be put up on CSIR-IGIB website. Panel students will be considered for 1 year. If any PI considers that the panel candidate meets his/her requirement for their project, they will be called; otherwise, new advertisement will be put up.
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates to attend the interview. The engagement shall be as per guidelines of CSIR/Funding agency. Candidates will have an option to give reply in Hindi.
Note: The shortlisted candidates, have to report at 09:00 AM at Mall Road Campus, Delhi - 110007 on the day of interview along with any Photo ID card, (without photo ID card interview will not be conducted). 3 copies of updated signed C. V. (clearly mentioning Date of Birth, Highest Qualification with percentage, Correspondence Address and Email-ID), Dissertation (if any), PhD thesis (if any) and original certificates/Self attested photocopies for verification.
