Applications are invited for the position of ONE Junior Research Fellow (JRF-1) to work in the DST Indo-South Africa joint sponsored project entitled “Development of innovative Indigenous knowledge system (IKS)-based new cosmetic raw material: Isolation, extraction and chemical profiling of melanin biosynthesis pathways-based natural compounds from Indian and South-African medicinal plants” under the supervision of undersigned. The Position is temporary and is available immediately for one year which can be extendable upto 3 years based on candidate's performance.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Duration: 1.0 years (upto the termination of the project)
Essential Qualifications: JRF-
M.Sc. in Chemistry/Pharmaceutical/organic/ medicinal chemistry with at least 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale or 60% marks. Preference will be given to those candidates who have 2 years industrial/academic research experience and/ or had passed NET (CSIR/UGC)/ NET (LS)/ GATE (>75 percentile) test.
Desirable Qualification: Two research publication in international journal of repute. More experience, highly motivated students will be given preference.
Note: Only very hard working, highly motivated and enthusiastic students are advised to apply.
Upper age Limit: 28 yrs.
The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of SC/ST/OBC/ women and physically handicapped candidates.
Emoluments: @Rs. 25,000/- pm plus 20%HRA

NOTE: The envelope and the application both should clearly mention the post applied for "..JRF-1...".
Candidates may also note the following points:
1. MNIT Jaipur reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short-listing of eligible candidates.
2. The project team will have the right to put any screening criteria in case large numbers of applications are received.
3. The committee also reserves right for not selecting any candidate/offering lower post in case candidates are not found suitable for the applied post.
4. Interview will be held tentatively on 16th Jan, 2017 at Department of Chemistry, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed by email/ Mobile on 9th Jan, 2017 and no separate interview letter will be issued for the same.
5. Please note that no TA/DA will be given to the candidates called for the interview. The candidate should come along with their original certificates at 10:00 am on scheduled date.
6. The selected candidates can opt for Ph.D program announced by MNIT (twice a year) in case they are interested in pursuing Ph.D at MNIT as per provision in the above research area after fulfilling the required criteria as per institute rules. (Applicable for JRF/SRF only).
