Job Description: The Future Talent Program features internships that last 9-12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Merck Research Labs (MRL) can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The Discovery Research and Preclinical Development Group at Merck has multiple opportunities for summer internship positions for undergraduate students with an interest in Infectious Diseases. Positions are hands-on laboratory-based roles performing basic research within a premier drug-discovery organization.

This position is based in West Point, PA. No housing will be provided.

Candidate Profile
Education: Currently enrolled bachelor’s degree student pursuing a degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related Biological Sciences
Must have completed at least 4 semesters of college curriculum

Required:
Must be available for a period of 9-12 weeks, beginning June 2016.
Clear demonstration of prior Undergraduate research experience
Basic knowledge in biochemistry/enzymology, molecular biology, microbiology, or immunology
Self-motivated, energetic, organized, good communication skills and willing to work in a laboratory setting
Must be returning to school in Fall 2016

Preferred: Minimum GPA of 3.0
